Challenges:

  • Balancing creativity with clarity to make the proposal both engaging and informative

Key UX Decisions

The user journey for the Good Play Destination proposal starts with the investor viewing the PowerPoint presentation, usually in a formal meeting or pitch session. The main task is to quickly grasp the company’s value proposition and the potential for business growth. I ensured that the presentation had a clear flow, starting with an introduction to the company’s mission, followed by an overview of services, market opportunity, and financial projections.

One key decision in the design was to simplify complex data, like financial projections and market analysis, into easy-to-understand charts and graphics. I used vibrant, travel-inspired visuals to keep the presentation engaging, without overwhelming the audience with too much information. Each slide was designed to provide a concise message and direct the viewer’s attention to the key points.

Research Summary

For this project, I researched best practices for designing investor pitch decks and startup proposals. Companies like Airbnb and Booking.com use visually rich presentations to explain their value propositions in simple terms. Drawing from these examples, I made sure the proposal had a strong narrative, emphasizing how Good Play Destination stands out in the travel industry and why it has growth potential.

Additionally, I looked at presentation designs from successful start-ups to ensure the PowerPoint was polished and professional, with a perfect balance of creativity and clarity.
