Goals & Challenges

Goals:

  • Increase user engagement through visually captivating and informative social media posts

  • Communicate the brand’s key messages and values effectively to different segments of the target audience

  • Drive traffic to the WeTrade platform and increase sign-ups

Challenges:

  • Designing for a diverse audience with varying levels of trading experience and understanding

  • Creating content that balances complex financial concepts with engaging visuals

  • Maintaining consistency across multiple social media platforms while adhering to each platform’s unique style and content requirements

Key UX Decisions

WeTrade’s social media journey starts with brand discovery, usually through shared content on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn. The goal was to immediately capture users’ attention through bold visuals, concise copy, and clear CTAs that encourage users to learn more or sign up.

 

I worked closely with the marketing team to ensure that each post addressed a specific goal—whether it was to inform, promote a new feature, or drive traffic to a landing page. For example, I created static posts for brand awareness and animated posts to showcase new features or promotions. Each post had a clear call to action to guide users towards the next step in their journey, whether it was signing up, learning more about the platform, or engaging with customer support.

One of the key decisions was to tailor the design to the platform. For Instagram, I used shorts, with fun animation, while on Facebook, I designed static graphics with attractive visual.

Research Summary

Research on social media strategies for finance-related companies, including platforms like Robinhood and TD Ameritrade, revealed a focus on clear, concise messaging paired with strong visuals. These companies often used a mix of educational content and promotional posts that featured real-time trading data or expert advice to build credibility. I studied their old social media post, this to make sure the brand consistency which were effective at conveying trust and professional.
